Imperial German Model 1898 / 05 Bayonet + Scabbard & Frog Fichtel & Sachs + S/N#

Description

Imperial German Bayonet Model 1898/05 with scabbard and leather frog.  Bayonet measures 19-3/4" overall with a blade length of 14-3/8".  Very good condition overall with age patina, wear, use, original finish with a gray spotted smooth age patina. Flashguard shows multiple tiny dings, left grip shows some bruising and two dings. Cartouches on pommel end, spine of blade marked with cartouches and "L/16".  Ricasso area of blade marked, FICHTEL&SACHS/SCHWIENFURT".  Serial numbered at end of quillon cross-guard, #1122.  The scabbard shows a brown and silver age patina, back of scabbard shows some dings, the leather frog is aged and shows some etching on the front, the side stitching by throat are partially (1/4") coming undone.
