    Description

    Highly collectible original 13th cavalry insignia for troop L. The 13th was attacked in Columbus New Mexico on March 9, 1916 by Pancho Villas forces, which prompted the border conflict and punitive invasion of Mexico by US forces under General Pershing. Troops of the 13th were highly involved and fighting was very intense. The 13th had been formed in 1901 and was also active in the Philippines from 1902-1906. These insignias were used on the collars of the tunic and on campaign and service caps.
