    Full page, continuing American Captives in Tripoli, Extracts from the Journal of Dr. Cowdery, kept during his Captivity in Tripoli.
    Beginning Aug 3(1804), the American squadron led by the USS Constitution began bombarding Tripoli.  Full+ front page article, School Instructors. Innkeeper complaining of losing her employees who quit to become teachers. Author complains that teaching should be held in higher regards, and that it should not be “cheapness but excellence” that determine hiring teachers because of the importance of the position. 1+ page anti-Thomas Jefferson letter stating he believes all the charges of wrong doing against Thomas Jefferson are true. Letter signed in print T Turner  (Thomas Turner, months earlier accused Jefferson of having an affair w Hemming).   Other topics of interest. ~9.5in x 11.5in. ~8pages. In protective sleeve.
